KINGSLEY – paperback, ebook, audio

Reviews are in!

An original and deftly crafted dystopian novel, “Kingsley” showcases author Carolyn O’Neal as a master of the genre. A riveting read from beginning to end, “Kingsley” is very highly recommended for community library science fiction collections. – Midwest Book Review

There are a lot of heavy themes that are addressed within this well-written, well-researched, fast-paced novel. Environmental concerns, pollution, oil drilling, the extinction of certain species of insects/animals, … cloning, genetic manipulation… – OnlineBookClub

I have never read a story like this one, which is one reason I kept turning the pages. It’s thought-provoking, shocking and very timely. It includes just enough science to make the story believable and just enough what-if fantasy to keep me guessing. The huge plot twist in the middle of the book (don’t worry, no spoilers from me) was a stunner. I enjoyed it!

What a riveting read!
The action-packed storyline will keep you on the edge of your seat!
The delightfully eccentric characters will challenge your ingrained notions of gender roles and expectations.
The plot will encourage you to think deeply about enviromental issues – from a global to a cellular level.
Much to enjoy and much to learn!

A fantastic read! Nothing quite like it out there. If the subject matter interests you then this is quite the riveting work of fiction.

Once I started reading it was difficult to stop. I couldn’t imagine how it would end. It was a great reminder that the way we live and the things we do every day can have a major impact on the environment . Education woven with entertainment utilizing a delightful cast of characters. Definitely recommend this book!
